As independent software developers, we have a key interest in evolving the software development process. Still, more than three decades after the advent of Software Engineering software development projects can be caprecious and costly endeavours. Our daily practice spots the challenges, so research efforts are always backed by real-world requirements.

Research objectives

Our primary research objective is to improve the development process itself, and to initiate an organizational feedback loop for integrating research results into our products. That is, research helps us to create innovative products and business solutions.

Projects

Besides a number of internal research projects, we are funding research on the Progress Information Environment (PIE) project for automated workflow enactment tracking. The project uses the Collaborative Agent-based Knowledge Engine, which is developed at the Department of Business Information Systems II at the University of Trier.
